Name: Bobby Birthday: 9/12/1984 Gender: Male
Interests: I have lots of Interests. Any sport, especially hockey. I play fantasy baseball -- yea, I'm that guy. I like chess and aquarium fish and death-hac. I could say Jesus here, but He is much more than that; He is my life. I like places that combine unrelated things under one roof. For instance, the place where I used to get my skates sharpened also cut hair. I, also, like restaurants with funny names like, "Eat Here and Get Gas" (another great combination; restaurant and gas station) in Indiana or "Good Food" in Toledo (holla). Live jazz Expertise: I am really good at knowing obscure middle infielders' batting averages over the last three years against lefties during day games. This is because I play fantasy baseball. I have gotten really good at arguing the abstract due to my major. I know how to ice skate a little, but my teammates would say I know how to "slash" a little better. | I was sitting throught 6 hours of syllabus reading this past Tuesday when I got an idea for an experiment. My sociology professors are always talking about research methods and analyzing data and blah, blah, blah. Well, I noticed every one of them had this disclaimer next to their office hours: "Or by appointment." I'm pretty sure that is mere posturing so that when evaluation time comes all the students will mark a 5 for the question, "was the professor available for outside instruction?" The professors are banking on the students indifference/apathy to keep them from having to make special time for them. Sometime before I graduate I am going to call their bluff and make observations about minute details like tone of their response and eye contact and stuff. I figure I will pretend I can only come in at really untraditional times and see how devoted WSU professors are to "higher education" and "the future of America." However, I'm a little scared that they will call my bluff of calling their bluff and I will actually have to go in and talk to my professors when I really don't want to at all. Anyway, that's my plan, but mostly I just wanted to get that last post about us winning nationals off of the top because I felt like a goober every time I checked Xanga. | | |
